WORKING IN THE INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN SECTOR – HOW IT WORKS IN PRACTICE

  • Our humanitarian missions may last for a few weeks or up to a year.
  • You cannot be classified as an expatriate (employee or VSI) in your own country. In this case you will have an employment contract under the law of your country.
  • The contracts offered to expatriates are either fixed-term contracts under French law or International Solidarity Volunteering contracts.
  • Where applicable, we indicate in the job advertisement if it’s possible to go as a couple or as a family.
  • We attach great importance to your ability to integrate into a different cultural context and to uphold our values.
  • Some professional experience in the humanitarian sector is often required, although we strive to ensure a good mix of skills and experience in our teams.
  • We will definitely ask that you have a good command of a foreign language (English or Spanish).
