OUR HUMANITARIAN PROGRAMMES IN LATIN AMERICA
Social exclusion, violence, political turmoil and poverty in Latin America are driving populations to set out, leaving them with no other choice than fleeing their country.
Central and South America are facing emergencies and humanitarian crises, causing great health needs; medical infrastructure and medical staff are sometimes lacking while damage caused by violence remains a major barrier to access to care for the most vulnerable.

OUR ACTION AND HELP IN LATIN AMERICA
Médecins du Monde delivers humanitarian aid in Central America and in South America while ensuring access to care and protection of people excluded from care and exposed to severe deprivation of basic needs resources.
OUR PROGRAMMES IN LATIN AMERICA
In order to respond to emergencies and crisis, Médecins du Monde is carrying out various humanitarian aid programmes in Latin America.
Our organisation is working with migrating women who are sex workers in Mexico and in Central America to disseminate health education messages.
In Colombia, we offer mobile health services (sexual and reproductive health, waste management, psychological support) in remote rural areas amongst the most affected by armed conflict.
Our organisation also operates in Caracas, capital of Venezuela, as well as in five other states of the country, where we bring medical attention and care to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations.
